    Honestly, telling people to enable compiz to check if 3D acceleration is enabled seems a bit... off, unless the guide was for newbies, which clearly isn't.

    Using mesa-utils:
    Code:
    glxinfo | grep render
    is a lot better than simply enabling compiz.

    I fail to see what's wrong with that. Michael does benchmarks, that's what I'd expect him to do and why I visit this site. I'm sure that's exactly the same reason others visit this site (excluding a few users who just come here to troll). Xonotic may not use GL 4.* features, the benchmark is still nontheless useful.
