    But Gates had the advantage of a very unsaturated market, and an already working product. By now there isn't a shortage in fast and traditional Linux desktops.

    Actually my post was a joke. But your comment is accurate : a "new M$" is more likely to happen in a brand new tech then in a long time rationalized market.
