    This is good news if those storage companies are going to actually contribute application code or provide hardware compatibility assistance to developers.

    Some like Seagtae already use linux for thier boot-to tools, so maybe they'll release some in-OS one's now too and hopefully firmware updaters. It's been a pretty sad state of affairs they'd support a virus riddled mess like Windows for decades with all thier firmware updaters and migration tools, but not linux. Yet still provide linux bootable tools.
