Phoronix: LowRISC: Trying To Bring Fully Open Hardware In A High Risk World

LowRISC is a new venture that's "open to the core" with a goal of producing fully open hardware systems...

Nice idea. Should be useful for things like automation, home routers, maybe light robotics.

    Thumbs up LowRISC Announcement

    Salut,

I've just received a mail from the project. It contains two news:
1- They added an FAQ on their website.
2- They have two positions for candidates.

    Here is the mail content:

Thank you for signing up to this lowRISC announcement list. Emails will be
relatively infrequent, we don't anticipate sending out more than one or two
    emails in a month.

We have just posted an FAQ <http://www.lowrisc.org/#faq> which should answer
most of the questions which have come up (or at least the questions we're able
to answer at this stage). We'd also like to highlight that we are advertising
for two positions in Cambridge, UK <http://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/4665/>. An
easy way to help the project at this stage is to forward the job advert within
your local networks or even just retweet it
    <https://twitter.com/lowRISC/status/497347561548943360>.

We hope to share more in the coming months when we will be launching public
discussion lists and sharing initial code.

It would be nice if Parallella would use the open cores.
