      I assume you are talking about dpm. It was enabled by default on cayman GPU a while ago, but was disabled due to stability issues. The root cause was found and fixed in 3.16, so now I'm enabling dpm by default again in 3.17.

            Just a small typo in the driver:

              Ohhh Thanks agd5f, yes I was refering to dpm. Just today I have obtained a cayman gpu. So from what you say I can safely enbale dpm on kernel 3.16.

              Thanks.

                What cards don't have DPM enabled yet?

                Is it just the old r600 level gpus now?

                  Just use linux-git and change the first source line from
                  Code:
                  source=('git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git'
                  to
                  Code:
                  source=('git://people.freedesktop.org/~agd5f/linux#branch=drm-next-3.17'
                  Then makepkg, hit enter a few times to accept new default config, ready.

                    Yes, just the r6xx-based asics.
