That's what I was thinking, except a little more abstracted since it's a bit more specific.

Sounds more like an attempt to standardize computer vision workflows (e.g. basically an open/standard MevisLab). If that's true, OpenCV/OpenCL are out of place since the implementer of "function nodes" can use anything they want (like ITK or *gasp* CUDA even). They're probably trying to make OpenVX sound more exciting than it actually is by mentioning OpenCV/OpenCL ... really, it's just another MevisLab, XIP, etc...
