They need first to fix their bugs! Unbelievable, even my CH Pedals don't work anymore in 14.04!

Are you going to mention that in every systemd/udev topic?

What is a CH Pedal and since when 14.04 uses sytemd?

CH Products, leading manufacturer of Industrial joysticks and Hall effect control devices including fingertip joysticks, trackballs, handgrip and simulation controllers.

I'm going to mention this until it gets fixed. Hopefully not alike xinput2 which is broken for years:

Udev is a can of bugs, sigh.

Why systemd-timesyncd will be better then ntpdate?

                Slide 84:

                "What we are working on:
                Verifiable OS images
All the way to the firmware
                Boot Loading"

That means likely modification prevention in embedded systems.

Could You include Your X.Org log?
Do any of the hints mentioned here work:
To get my CH Pro Pedals working using Ubuntu 13.04 and Xplane 10.22, I took the advice given here to make a .rule since Ubuntu does not give the correct privilege to joystick devices without buttons. My rule is ... cat 99-X-Plane_10_joystick.rules # CH PRO PEDALS USB KERNEL=="event*", ATTRS{idPro...

Or find broken Systemfiles but modification prevention is not a bad thing.
