I initially misread that as VIA Linux driver.

I don't care about iGPUs what I currently care about is broadwell CPUs (14nm CPU with 3D transistors ftw), proper ACS support and proper DMA Remapping support too (breaks vdpau for nvidia cards in some sick and twisted kind of way when enabled in the kernel, i didn't know where to report this though since I don't know if it's an nvidia/vdpau problem or a kernel/CPU Driver problem), and last but not least, I won't buy a new motherboard till I can get it with nvlink to be ready to get a pascal when it's out.

              - Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200
              - Intel Iris Pro Graphics P6300
If Iris denotes full ALU count, Pro denotes eDRAM, I wonder what the extra P denotes?

And I wonder what new suffix Intel marketing will come up with for Skylake? Intel Iris Pro Graphics P7000+?

                Yes.

But that is spec & reference codec.

For hw implementation Google also release hw design (for free), but it haven't happened yet (or if I'm wrong) or was too late for incorporation in this design (which was in progress for at least 2y).

The extra P is for "Professional"; it implies that the GPU is in a Xeon instead of a Celeron/Pentium/i3/i5/i7. See today's HD Graphics P4600 for an example.

No, I am preeeeetty sure "Pro" is for "Professional". The P is probably for Performance, _or_ since it is the top model, and Intel always makes etheir top models only marginally faster than the second to top model, but priced in a different order of magnitude; Penis.
