Question Z97 MPOWER MAX AC with functional fan speed control anyone?

Been using the nct6792 beta driver from https://github.com/groeck/nct6775 on this MB but am finding that the fan controls are not responding... anyone out there have this hardware and can share any positive experiences?

I am in manual mode but nothing changes:
    Code:
    echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/nct6775.2576/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm1_enable
    echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/nct6775.2576/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm2_enable

    echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/nct6775.2576/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm1
    echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/nct6775.2576/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm2

    cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm[1-2]_enable
    1
    1

    cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm[1-2]
    0
    0

    cat /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/fan[1-2]_input
    1273
    1208
Nothing changes without the kernel module at all allowing the BIOS to control the speeds in "smart fan mode" either... :/

    Default

I studied the manual closely and it seems that the two CPU fan connectors expect the 4 pins to be:
    1) Ground
    2) +12V
    3) Sense
    4) Speed control

The three SYS fan connectors expect the 4 pins to be:
    1) Ground
    2) Speed control
    3) Sense
    4) NC

I hooked up my two CPU fans to the SYS headers and they behave as expected.
