    Tried it on ubuntu trusty, doesn't work, I get nothing but black screen, lightdm fails to start.

      if you use nVidia blob or FGLRX you probably need to recompile the kernel module or need a patch for compatibility

        Oh I forgot to mention, I use mesa on a radeon hd 4650 card, that's why I don't have a clue why lightdm fails to start, no issue on 3.15
