    Default Best nVidia drivers

Okay, so the past few drivers, as we all know, have had a myriad of issues, the 17* drivers especially. Heck, I'm using ArchLinux with 169.12 and I still have a couple of issues.

So here's the question: What are the 'best' Linux drivers in recent memory? By that I mean drivers that are up to par performance-wise and are relatively bug free.

And yes, this was posted on the nVidia forums as well.

Turn on Vsync. Tearing is caused by the video card updating the framebufer in the middle of a screen draw.
Vsync makes each frame buffer update tied to the refresh rate. Your frame rate will drop, but your tearing should go away.
