With the Linux 2.6.26-rc4 kernel announcement Linus Torvalds goes on a bit of a rant surrounding users with a 32-bit x86 kernel but using PAE/HIGHMEM64G for supporting a greater memory capacity in excess of 4GB, but when you should be using the x86_64 kernel.
