    I'd like to see more of the world go 64 bit only.

      This is particularly easy for dragonfly due to the absence of proprietary drivers/applications. Multilib is not needed for the same reason. Since 32bit only hardware are becoming old, there is not much that needs 32bits OS, and due to the lack of ressources to maintain this plateform, it's a good choice for dragonfly, but it might not be for other OS.
