Confidence is good, overconfidence is not.
You are talking about a country with a military (including paramilitary groups) that is more than four times as big as the US of A's military.

This is a sequel to the *caugh*joke*caugh* wildly popular games Frontlines: Fuel of War and Homefront and the game's lore have it that Kim Jong-Un reunites North and South Korea. The Korea that invades is a Korea with the combined military power of the #1 and #4 military powers in the world, with the fanatic loyalty of North and the financial muscle of South.
That Korea would have 6,5 times the military personnel of the US of A and have access to the newest technology.
Under those circumstances, they would f**k US of A up and it would never recover. It's not even a fight.

That said...is it likely to happen in the Real World(TM), No... certainly not, but I would give it a far better chance than the snowballs chance in Hell that you seem to think.

        Happy Gaming!

Not gonna lie, that could turn into one of the most epic things I've heard of today.

Unlike every other game, where the player is a one man army, single-handedly tearing apart everyone and everything within range.

Who cares if it's a good game? If you want realism, go play outside.

North Korea is nowhere the military power of USA. Hell, they can't even build decent missiles. Personnel is far from everything. Even a united Korea wouldn't be nearly enough. Even if it were enough, USA has a lot of allies in NATO. Even if every non-NATO nation on earth were to unite, they wouldn't be a match to NATO.

The way the "Greater Korean Republic" (the name of the combined Korean country in the first Homefront) was able to take down the US was not anything to do with personnel count. They used the technical abilities of the other Asian countries that they took over to craft an EMP satelite that they successfully launched and used to disable all of our military's toys. This was after the some how managed to take down the rest of the world.

                    - Hello, this is Obama speaking. We're being attacked by Koreas, can you NATO guys come over and help?
                    - Yeah, about that... we kind of decided you guys were douchebags after that whole NSA thing. Bye bye now, take care!

Also, that would make 6 (Epic, Crytek, Deep Silver, Microprose, CD PROJEKT, Firaxis Games). Then we have Codemasters, so maybe 7. And can we call WMD a AAA-developer too?
then you have nordic games, topware, double fine, paradox, 2A... cough... valve
