  • xrandr showing two screens when I've only got one

    Hi,

I'm trying to debug a Java problem ... where a running gui program isn't displaying its gui ... nothing.

xrandr shows two connected screens (see below) and two current resolutions.

I'm confused. I have one screen connected with HDMI, that's all.

When I boot, the login screen certainly looks low-res (about 1024x768) but once I log in, the resolution
    changes to 1920x1080.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Geoff Russell

    P.S. I'm Running ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a Shuttle XS35V3L

    ... xrandr output follows...

    VGA-0 disconnected
    LVDS-0 connected 1024x768+0+1080 0mm x 0mm
    1024x768 60.0*+
    DVI-0 connected 1920x1080+0+0 531mm x 298mm
    1920x1080 60.0*+ 50.0
    1680x1050 59.9
