    Phoronix: Kdenlive 0.9.8 Released

After Kdenlive's video editing future went dark last year, it was revived and once again the future is looking bright for this open-source non-linear video editor...

Even though I rarely use it, kdenlive is a joy to work with.
I'm glad the project isn't dead

    Default I'm old

huh, they're still using a negative number = unstable release schema.

    I remember those days =P

Edit: And hell yeah, I look forward to new releases of this particular software. 0.97 started out quite buggy for me initially but stabilised quite quickly on the PPA I was using for Mint. Cant wait for the new dilithium sub-routines via the phuton torpedoes to make an appearance!

Now, make us go that way.

Yay for not only a new KDEnlive release (minor as it may be) but for Michael reporting KDEnlive news now!

His story about the KDEnlive dev going missing was the first time I'd heard him even mention KDEnlive, which I think is as important to Linux AV production as ffmpeg, GIMP and Ardour/qtractor.
