Should be just enough for 4K@120 Hz and 32-Bit colordepth.
(3840x2160x32x120)/1000000000 = 31,85 Gb
Just a little longer and they can ship Gnome 3.16.
Have fun breaking your system that way.
They should fork the real thing, adapt it to OpenBSD and maintain compatibility with the Linux systemd interfaces which are used by Gnome & Co.
Gnome 3.12 is already usable on Wayland with only a few minor regressions. First real Desktop on Wayland was Gnome 3.10.
Computer Science students at universities are mostly white-middle class men. Men and women simply have different interests. Even when you study Business Administration which is often 50:50 split of...
You only have to watch Linus Torvalds Talk at DebConf just a few days ago to realize why we desperately need what the systemd guys envision.
The issues the proposal wants to address were brought up...
Great. DirectX 11 is available for Vista since 2009.
It would interest me if it would allow me to easily revert back to an old version if I don't like the new version (feature or stabilitywise). Yes you can do package rollbacks on current distros....

Well but then you can argue why Canonical should stop there? Why not offer the...
I tried the Debian Jessia Beta, which now uses systemd by default and it worked pretty well. Is there a list of stuff that doesn't work on Ubuntu with systemd?
It seems like systemd is installed though, but just doesn't start with "init=/usr/lib/systemd". You can type systemd-<tab> and it will show you all of the systemd tools on the live environment.
I'd wish they'd open source their pepper flash plugin. After Google open sourced their PDF plugin you don't need to extract it from Chrome to use it Chromium anymore since 37.
I think they'll target 4.1 since OS X isn't capable of more.
Is there Xwayland DDX in this compositor already?
Ohh yeah toolkits are going to save the day lol. Except for all the irrelevant apps that don't use any of the above mentioned toolkits like you know Firefox (XUL) or Chromium (Aura). Pretty sure the...
They are already part of EGL 1.5. There are wayland platform extensions in the upstream spec.
