    Valve's shaders are some of the most optimized shaders on linux, and it did speed them up a bit. Other, less well optimized shaders could see much greater gains.

    So if you need raid 5/6.... use one of the others.

    If you just want raid 1, then btrfs is a good choice.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I thought with mirror 1, when btrfs read a file. It would check the file against the checksum to see if there had been bitrot and fix the file if there was any.
