That seems reasonable. This was a bit of an older version... I don't recall for sure, but I think I left it for like 15+ minutes and it didn't go anywhere. And I tried the Debian default "rescue"...

Hm, I would say difference in implementation. I certainly don't think systemd is bad because of it! And I can see the use of stopping if a FS doesn't exist; in some cases it could be very useful....

Well, it certainly didn't happen when I was using SysV init. It would give an error, but it booted fine.

And the man page says "nofail do not report errors for this device if it does not exist"....

    Don't be absurd.

The disk was gone - needed to replace its board. But when systemd couldn't find /dev/sdc or LABEL=DATA whatever it was listed as to mount to /data, it would fail to boot...

The only problem I had with systemd was that by default it fails to boot if any FS isn't mountable, and my /data drive was failed at the time. Once I put "nofail" for my non-critical FSs, everything...

Jessie won't get this update, it will always be 215. 217 went to experimental instead of unstable (sid) due to the freeze

When I moved my sid install to systemd, I didn't have any issues like that. Only issue was needing to tell it not to fail on boot if it couldn't mount non-critical filesystems. I think it was already...

Meh, unless it is a slider, who cares? As for other half, yeah a kb is supposedly happening, but it hasn't happened yet, and even if it does, will it be worth a crap?

Except it gives the apps a voice in what they want to draw. I don't want them to affect the window decorations for any reason. Tabs in the title bar and the like can die in a fire.

The v4 stuff is just a small legacy department (that will be moved to v5 eventually), the main groups are all on v5 on windows already (newer projects were on v5 from the get go).
