    So if you need raid 5/6.... use one of the others.

    If you just want raid 1, then btrfs is a good choice.

    I thought with mirror 1, when btrfs read a file. It would check the file against the checksum to see if there had been bitrot and fix the file if there was any.

    I suggest having the 2 hard drives in raid 1 (mirroring) for your personel documents/videos/pictures. For added safety.

    Also, consider using btrfs, it uses allot less ram compared to xfs.
