not un my lubuntu.
Is it posible to alt+tab out of steam games now?
Was one of the main problems why i switched from xfce to lxde.
That really is what im worried about.
Looking back to the guys that were the former valve-like goodguys in the game industry:
In order to run q4 d3 etqw you need to use plain...
... flash was always troublesome with nvidia blobs too. It even managed to hang the whole system (so that not even sysrq keys work)
And it even is troublesome sometimes today. Watching a youtube...
Benchmarks won't show the real improvements that clearly, I suggest everyday usage scenarios with cpu loads under 50% per core with clockspeed monitoring and subjective performance/lag.
Erm why do you test the intel cpus on performance and the amd on ondemand?!?
ondemand is a bit broken on amd,
at least on my phenomII performance govenor always gets a few percent more...
it is not only about framerates but also inputlag.
Even if I get 60+ fps i deactivate vsync for that reason.
Especially for competetive-ish gaming, which is dominant on linux.......
Does this option also affect games?
If yes then it is like piss off all those who are interested in high framerates and good drivers... like gamers.
I can't understand this.
In times when you think things get stable and everything just works....
Lets just break things
make new apis n stuff
piss off your users
i see a new opengl coming soon :P
lets hurry to...
16.04? i guess wayland already won ^^
wtf happened to the 9600gso? it should be between 8600gt and 8800gt and more near the 8800gt
Do you have some kind of crippled DDR2 version? or is it a driver regression?
Still quite content...
well it's also about latency, for example Xonotic feels a lot better with a low-latency kernel on my sys.
despite having about the same framerate!
FXAA TXAA SMAA. is just blur imho, kills all the detail. I don't like it.
MSAA or SSAA is way better.
CPU limit hit.
And linux is in general a little bit faster when it comes to cpu performance...
... but just a guess
800x600 17 fps
1600x900 17 fps
That benchmark doesn't make sense without the 275.21 driver, those were 2 times faster in the complex luxmark benchmark , and a lot faster overall !!!!!!!
Yeah Fuck you nvidia!
yeah, and also network latency, could be a killer feature.
wow linux driver is faster than i thought.
no the gtx680 just seems to be slow @ gpgpu. ^^ Nvidia just focused on gaming with this card. ...
My gtx 460 is as fast as a gtx 680 in the sala scene with less crapy drivers.
(the 275.xx were the last good ones nvidia did not fix this regression since a year or so XD)
