I really wish AMD would HTFU and release a decent, non-beta Catalyst driver for Xorg 1.15! ...let alone 1.16.
This is why benchmarks are often meaningless when measuring 'responsiveness'.
Don't take this the wrong way, but the fact you would even bring up Deadline shows you don't have any real-world...
Yes, lets debate which of these 2 distros is better for usage on mission critical systems.
Then maybe we can discuss if drinking red paint or blue paint is better for your health.
If you were going to benchmark/test it do remember that although the 3.10 LTS series kernel is provided out-of-the-box, many other kernel series' are available from the official repo,...
Obviously it's an un-updated system.
It's the 0.8.8 Manjaro ISO installed and not updated.
I try not to use the term "Linux" to refer to the OS any more anyways.

If Arch isn't suitable for some reason; openSUSE.
Would be a really desirable feature... if it was like a decade ago :P
Guess i'll start thinking about updating my server. Hopefully get around to it before the end of the year ;p
I'm an Arch user. I recently had a look at Manjaro out of curiosity, frankly i thought it was pretty damn good. Great option for getting a user-friendly Arch desktop setup and running quickly.
He can do whatever he likes. I don't expect he'd be discouraged by my comments on this forum. I wouldn't be, in his position.
No worries, glad you enjoyed my post.
Good. I hope it does...

IMO, this still stands as another unnecessary distribution start-up, further dividing resources.
As I said...
