Ati 11.3 Deb Falure Ubuntu 9.10

Hello to all.

I am having some problems that I can't solve with new ati driver for my ubuntu 9.10 karmic. I wanted use VAAPI with ffmpeg, and I had an old Catalyst so needed update. I followed the wiki but fail on creating deb packages.

When I give this command. # sh ati-driver-installer-11-3-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/karmic

I get this error in the end.

 dh_install: xorg-driver-fglrx-dev missing files (xpic/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/*.a), aborting
make: *** [binary-install/xorg-driver-fglrx-dev] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary gave error exit status 2
Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install.NVPTZ3

If anyone can help please.

Also does Catalyst 11.3 support VAAPI?
