I'm a 3D animator and I like to make animations with models from my favorite games.
But to get those models I need a program like 3D Ripper DX. These programs access all 3D data in memory and then save it all into a convenient file format usable in Blender.
Unfortunately those programs don't work in Linux.
Does a program like 3D Ripper DX or 3DVia Printscreen exist for Linux?
Could one that accesses OpenGL programs be written for Linux? Or does the way Linux work (more locked down and secure than Windows) prevent such a program from ever working? (Perhaps root access would fix that though)
