Hi Michael

what is on the first picture? It looks a lot like a media pc chassis, is that correct?

looks a bit like the A33 asus cebit 2007 a33 video -- which quote Asus manager "we can do Linux and Windows, Linux is more stable for media & entertainment but not suitable for office applications" (might be paraphrasing him there but that was the gist of what he said
