      Michael, get your stuff together. This is not a feature added for Wayland, but for display servers:
      This work is
      useful to allow Wayland display servers (and similar
      programs, such as kmscon) to run under the user's ID and
      access input and drm devices which are normally
      protected.
      Wayland is a protocol and has nothing to do with systemd at all.

          I cannot find a roadmap for features to be implemented in future versions of systemd. Does such a document (or equivalent) exist? Thx!

            No I don't think so. The TODO file could give some hints about the future changes though.
