Just if you're interested, according to German heise.de it brings a lot of fixes for the network subsystem, which cause a lot of messy behavior with plain 2.6.29 (I had some strange this, too but wasn't sure if it had been the fault of an experimental Atheros L1E chip driver)
So if you're having strange network behaviour running on 2.6.29 then check your favourite (meta)distribution if they have updates available.
Probably there were also other changes, esp. there was a lot of discussion about these ext FS issues but I didn't check that. Still have to fetch mah own shiny new 2.6.29
