  • A10-5800K on Red Hat?

    Has anyone run Red Hat or deriviatives on an AMD A10-5800K? My old Athlon X2 is getting a bit dated, and with some cheap motherboard + Trinity CPU deals at the moment I was thinking of throwing one of these in to replace it just for grins, but it came out after RHEL6, and I can't find anything to confirm the kernel has been updated to support it.

    I eventually found someone who claims to have an A10-6800K running on CentOS 6, so it looks viable. I'm guessing that, if newer hardware works, the older hardware should:

    However, it looks like I'll have to wait until after Christmas to upgrade that machine so I'll report back whether it works .
