G80 & UT2004 don't get along?

A friend of mine sent me an screenshot of UT2004 running on his 8500GT 512Mb where he says that UT shows "corrupted textures" and doesn't support features from the latest patch (proper render to texture, projected shadows, etc), what I found most interesting, though was the tile-like effect in a sky dome texture... Is this unique to the 8500GT or is this a trend for G80s in general with UT2004?

This looks to be a known issue of the 169.07 driver with UT2004
