    Microsoft, Google and Netflix are proposing a mechanism which would hook DRM to HTML5 video streams by using external decoders


    Mozilla seems to be the only strong "NO" here.

    Wintel and Googlesoft: "Oh look, new technologies and more chances to restrict users and force our software on them!".

    DRM is by far the biggest threat to open source operating systems. Right now we're seeing a rush to wall in the existing operating systems, and before long media won't play unless you're running 'Secure Boot' to ensure that Microsoft's drivers haven't been compromised.

      Google, that?s not worth it. I know you have GoogleTV guys, but it is very WRONG solution. Don?t close the code, close the key.
