    Hewlett-Packard has adapted jet engines from radio-controlled model jets to force out heat in some of their servers. EDFs as they are called for short, Electric-Ducted Fans, pack some serious cooling power for processors.

    Although they may provide serious cooling, I'd have to see some dB tests before even thinking of using them.

      Well, large servers aren't known for their quietness...so I'd imagine its pretty loud. It must sound like a damn air compessor...well, thats a worst case senario, but still.

        well if its a jet engine it would sound most likely like maybe a jet
