  • Mobile HD3650 support

    Hello,

Is the mobile HD3650 video card supported under GNU/Linux? The Catalyst 8.11 release notes only mention the desktop version of the HD3xx cards, but not the notebook models.

Also, does the "ATI Switchable Graphics Technology" or "ATI Hybrid Graphics Technology" work under GNU/Linux?

I finally got an Asus F8VA with HD3650; wanted a Puma notebook, but only the Asus M51ta had decent graphics, but it is almost unusable under Linux due to BIOS bugs.

This machine does have some BIOS bugs too, but after some install issues it is working under Kubuntu AMD64 with 2.6.28 kernel and Catalyst 8.12 drivers.

Still, it seems PowerPlay is not supported for this setup:

    gbelli@F8Va:~$ aticonfig --lsp
Error: POWERplay is not supported on your hardware.

    Any ideas?
