Has anyone tried to get this image on the shield android TV? The bootloader is open, and you can even just push a kernel without overwriting the NAND.

Michael, it's Debian GNU/Linux, not just Debian Linux, it means a lot to them.

Do NV's CUDA and OGL stacks work seamless with stock Debian?

Don't know about CUDA, but OGL does not work.

Thank you for the reply. Let's see when that gets addressed.

I've got a Shield TV (2017) arriving tomorrow. Interest is in the Tegra X1 within it, especially given the price differential (US$199) to the developer Jetson TX1 (US$579) with the same chip.

Bootloader is unlocked and it's been confirmed that Linux can be installed on the Shield TV (2015). Spinning up a Linux graphics stack including a modern kernel, libdrm and Mesa's nouveau should be readily possible.
