          I hope so!

I don't mind it is not bug free, as long as it can give me AIGLX and Composite support, I will be very happy.

I'm using an ATI AIW X1900, equipped with AC Accelero X2 and clocked @ 625/1200, and had a lot of fun with it, it performed very well and stable under WinXP. But since I switched my main PC to Ubuntu, it gave me loads of trouble... I think I will have to sell it soon. I don't know if I can wait till the new driver come out, cuz NV's 8800GT is right in front of me (29/Oct/07)...

I loved ATI, I really did since the era of 9700, but now, as a Linux user and developer ATI has been letting me down again and again and again... Just wish all of you good luck waiting for its new drivers here and am almost run out of patience

I have two NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX GPU's on my desktop and an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 on my laptop. Although there is no AIGLX, at least it works. The NVIDIA card won't boot my PC up properly. I have to go into recovery mode and then type telinit 3 in the CLI to get to a login screen. Once I'm in I have AIGLX, but not having a normal boot up is a little annoying. So don't think NVIDIA will solve all your problems.
