There was some kind of dispute between the sidux distro devs and sidux e.V. (the non-profit group helping fund the project.) I guess we'll know in a few days what's going on. I hope all goes well. sidux is one of my favorite distros. -
They said things are "looking brighter" after the meeting and that details are forthcoming.Comment

The distro has renamed itself aptosid and development is rolling again. It looks like the change will be pretty transparent to users once they they switch to aptosid's repo (other than the name change and slightly different artwork).Comment

Since smxi was "forcefully removed" by them, they stoped to interest me at all. Use Debian Sid. Unneeded.Comment

What do you think of Mint deciding to have a Debian edition?
I think it could be good for Debian. There's many debian-based distros that utilize the stable version but not so many who undertake going to Testing or Sid. I believe Mint is going to try utilizing Testing.Comment

Mint, with primary goal to make linux free and friendly, has it enough with Ubuntu. They simply release unstable and broken, and profit from users inputing ideas and tiny portion of code in Ubuntu instead of upstreaming.Originally posted by Panix View Post
