Why would Ubuntu have such convoluted set up?...

Without esync (or fsync / ntsync) some games really suffer a major performance dip. Such as Cyberpunk 2077 for example. So I see esync as important. And...

I'm not using "every gaming Wine" due to them pulling a ton of stuff I don't need. I prefer upstream Wine with minimal additions like esync...Last edited by shmerl; 14 April 2024, 12:38 PM.

Fsync is a mess to use due to no easy way to apply those patches to Wine. esync is easy to apply from Wine staging, so that's what I've been using....
