That isn't true, it really depends, also Vulkan itself is lower level than even gallium... it should be possible to eliminate gallium from Mesa3d eventually...Last edited by cb88; 21 March 2024, 10:08 AM.

That's not really the issue though, CPUs run out of bandwidth really fast for either raster or RT... but a ThreadRipper may actually have enough cache...

Setting power limits too low generally doesnt' break hardware... what it does do though is cause it to be more likely to have errors... which nobody wants...
