Phoronix: HTC Desire HD, Xoom Linaro Benchmarked

For those curious about the Linux performance on some modern ARM hardware like the Motorola Xoom or HTC Desire HD, here are some benchmarks comparing the performance of some ARM hardware compared to an Intel Atom, Intel Pentium, and AMD Athlon processors...

    So, what exactly is a "2011-11-29 14:57"?

It's a timestamp - clearly another copy and paste article from the PTS

If you follow the link to the other results you will see that it is an Atom N270.

It is worth pointing out that HTC Desire HD is a TWO YEAR OLD SINGLE CORE 1 GHz phone.

That it is spanking an atom N270 (single core 1.6 GHz x86) is, in fact, very impressive.

The rest of those are dual core processors.
SERIOUSLY???!? Running a single core ARM against multi-core x86?

That's got to be a fair test, eh?

Bumping on a J Random Dude for not buying comparable hardware but instead using what he has available? Oh the horror, how dare he!! Especially given how he likely doesn't have a benchmark site where he can recoup the costs of buying said hw.

Half serious. These results were done by some random person, why do you expect them to buy comparable hw?
