  • Canonical to make Android apps run on Ubuntu

At the Ubuntu Developer Summit in Barcelona, Canonical has unveiled a prototype Android execution environment that will allow Android applications to run on the Ubuntu Linux distribution.
I see some point to this, making all android apps work under normal linuxes. Maybe there's a nice reader or a game one would like to use, but doesn't have an Android phone.

This is in the Mobile Linux section because to me it makes the most sense for Canonical to target this to the MID and Netbook Remix versions. There it could become either a mobile competitor to Google, or a peaceful co-operation where the App store becomes available on Ubuntu too, and Canonical gets a piece of all buys on Ubuntu platforms.
