Thank you Unigine!! I'm very looking forward to 2011

I also believe Steam will eventually come to Linux, you don't have to be a clairvoyant to know that... Let Michael put some pressure, there is nothing wrong with that.

It's not pressure as it's already coming.

You do realize valve implicitly denied these claims.

That right there is proof enough for me.

Oh yes, I am well aware of what their public statement was when they denied a Linux client at that time.

If there are gonna be 3 winners then I hope there will be also more variety in the type of game, like one MMORPG, one FPS, and one Strategy game.
Personally I think most of FPS are all too similar, so I don't want another one, and for strategy we'll gonna have OilRush and 0 AD, which both look good so far, so I'm wishing more for a RPG (MMO or not) or some crazy new type of game with innovative gameplay.
Either way, 3 winners are fantastic news for all. I hope they reach the most wanted feature: "ship it".

My guess is 2011 won't be a great year but 2012 or maybe 2013 will be after time for development of these proposals

It is suspicious that they now support linux, but not mac, and that they will team up with some awesome guys (in this case unigine, I guess)

                        Yes it is a RPG

Oh, I wouldn't count 2011 out by TOO much. We'll just have to see what comes of next week and what it does for the positioning of Linux gaming as a whole...

I'm hopeful for a repeat with HIB #2, myself.

I find it curios about the lack of OSX support (could be no machines, no people- I'd have a few issues with providing versions of a title without those... ) but we'll just have to see. They'd be foolish to not do OSX support if they can at all help it- about as foolish as not doing Linux versions in light of all that's going on right now.

Hah, when I saw that on moddb I was actually thinking the exact same thing.
