Hmm, so lets think about who my favorite game development company is.

There is Valve, if it's not just Linux related and focused on FPS.

Then I have S2 if they mean the last one and a half year, if it means just Linux Gaming.

And there is S2K for my long term awaited Mafia 2 (damn they could have made this game so good with more ingredients from the first Mafia).

Or did they mean EPIC? But Unreal isn't on my favorite list anymore for many years.

Damn, let it be Valve. I want to start playing CS:S again "and this time on Linux".

It must be oilrush linux version announcement
Why valve would be "our favorite game company"? they've done nothing for us at the moment
And iirc rage is due sometime in 2011

Doom 3 engine GPL, but why would Michael get an email about that?
Valve, logical due to excitement, but it doesn't embrace, so it can' t embrace further.
UT3, must be the most rediculous option.

            It's Doom 3 GPL.

I thought our favorite game company is Blizzard and they will further support linux, after they already had inhouse games running on linux

My favorite game company is Nintendo. How cool would that be if they embraced and supported Linux game development?

Well the "our favorite game company is soon to announce something to further embrace and support Linux game development", suggest a company already releasing Linux games. And with all the articles in the recent days about LGP and their servers being down or half-up, it's probably some announcement related to LGP and some new plan of theirs.

If not and it's actually one of the candidates that are speculated about here I'll be happy to be wrong.

same noone plays it anymore (that or iD officially announcing linux client for their new game)
