The condition of the kernel is quite good (hence the large just-published seven-way file-system benchmarks on a SSD and HDD) and Linus noted Monday that when releasing the 2.6.38-rc8 kernel that it could even be considered final, but as he's away for a few days, he went ahead to do one final pre-release...

        Well the performance patches were already backported to 2.6.37 on openSUSE 11.4. Not sure about the graphics bits.
