  • Backtrack?

Anyone using backtrack as their main distro? I've tried the live CD, but wondered what it was like as a daily os?

Well BackTrack is primarily engineered for penetration testing, and not really a desktop distribution. Unless your occupation is in the security field you probably would be better off with an alternative desktop distribution.

I just like playing on and scanning other networks when I travel... I've wondered about this gentoo live cd. I hate installing things on linux, so prefer large bundled distros.

I can't wait for the Ubuntu designer distro to come out later this year.

You don't like yum or apt-get for installing things? If you're after bundled distributions you might just want to get Fedora Core or all 14 Debian CDs

I've used apt-get and when it works, its great... but when it doesn't thats a major problem. I was reading your Fedora Core 7 post earlier. Looks like that'll be my next distro
