But I've got a feeling the general consensus is to stop adding major features to ext4, and switch (eventually) to brtfs.
Plus, I would imagine that any attempt to fix the max-inode-limit issue in ext4 will require on-disk meta-data format change, something that ext* developers try to avoid.
