I used to think that Radeon os driver is a waste of time and it seems I was conservative in my opinion considering the results I got today. In every single test my integrated intel gr. was faster by an order of magnitude compared to my Radeon (Intel GMA45 vs Radeon HD3650).

It would be better for the overall linux community if the radeon team put all the effort to inform Linux newcommers that they stay away from AMD when considering graphics for linux instead if working on the radeon driver.

Care to publish those tests? The G45 is quite bad.

It's not AGP is it? That would explain something.

Bucic and that is news to who?

I have a bunch of laptops that I can't use because they have radeon cards.

AMD and linux it's bad news.

BTW: during ubuntu's 13.04 alpha stage I could download a daily updated live image.

is there such a thing for f19 or are you pretty much stuck with alpha until alpha2 or beta rc arrives?

            https://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/nightly-composes/

BTW, If you install Alpha (or any pre-release image, really), you can just update as normal, and you'll get all the updated bits as they come along.

I've always had difficulty understanding fedora's alpha etc repos:

shouldn't there be a link in the output section??

              http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/t...taskID=5326971

How come the alpha fedora19 live desktop x86 is 1gig

but these, supposedly updated, live images are 700 mb?

Live images have a 1 GB target size since Fedora 18

What do you mean? There's no automated acquisition of detailed results. The "order of magnitude" I mentioned should be enough to describe the difference. Furthrmore as I consider the radeon a waste of time, I now think the same about fiishing all the tests for it. Also it is worth mentioning that the desktop performance on Linux was always better for me with the poor Intel, when compared to the Radeon HD 3650, even on Catalyst. Unity, Gnome Shell, video, Flash video and the likes. Pitiful.
