  • Xfce 4.4.0 Released

    January 21, 2007 -- Xfce 4.4.0 has been released! Among the many new improvements is the new Thunar file manager and major improvements to core improvements. The release announcement can be read here.

    As much as I like XFCE, it has become too bloated IMO for me to continue using. With the recent Fedora news that they'll release a "Fedora KDE" for v.7, I'll be looking forward to that.

      I still really like XFCE. And 4.4.0 looks pretty good to me! I'm happy to see that the Terminal now supports real transparency.

      I'm lookin' forward to try it out.

          I guess that XFCE 4.4.0 will be included in the next Zenwalk release as well and I really look forward for that release.

          Update:

          Well, now that I have Zenwalk 4.4.1 installed I can enjoy the new Xfce 4.4 desktop. And I really like it. Its fast, easy to use and looks pretty good. I'm all happy with it.
