      Thanks Michael,

I hope I didn't waste an invite on you. Just to let other people know, the linux release is for 32bit only. I have a 64bit system and thus cannot install.

Although, I am considering a dual boot to test this thing out, it seems pretty exciting.

You could build it from source for 64-bit.

Hey, I hope not asking for an invite but some infos is ok here too =)
If you want to awnser them anyway in the story anyways that's fine for me =)

You said it brings rtorrent, does that mean it has a torrent frontend? That is something that has been lacking for xbmc!
Also do you know if there are plans to backport some non python features into the xbmc edition for the xbox? It is kinda sad seeing all the work going into other platforms while the xbox itself still is a kickass machine for a media center

                  Gimme, gimme, gimme!

I'm a longtime Mythtv user that made the pepsi switch from gentoo to Ubuntu two years ago and would love to give Boxee a look-see. My Ubuntu box is my media portal to the world; it's connected to projector mounted in my living room and on my wall it takes me all over the internet... as well as permitting me to play Quake Wars with preternatural visual acuity.

I am a long time Phoronix reader but I have never posted in the forums. Would it still be possible to get an invite even though I have not posted five times? I am currently using mythtv on hardy.

Looks interesting. Kind of annoyed with MythTV's frontend system at the mo (I have a big ass GF card and you're not using eye candy why??) so wouldn't mind putting a new contender through its paces if there are invites left.

See how it compares to the original XBMC and the Clutter based 'gloss-mc'.

I can see it now. "Your friend Joe is watching: Transexual Lesbian Midget Bestiality.avi"

Umm... I don't want to know that.

I was always looking for this but can't seem to figure the hell how to get started. Please count me in, Michael.

I think the e-mail address should be accessible from admins, but if you need it, please drop a PM. I think you have my e-mail address anyway.
