      Less work to maintain the gui, better Plattform Integration. Tranaparency was just an example.

        But a massive amount of work rewriting a massive amount of code from scratch. It seems LibreOffice devs have their hands full just refactoring all the cruft and inefficiency of the existing code-base without having to create an entirely new code-base. If someone wants a Qt-based office suite, we already have Calligra.
