        Since then ?Workspaces? has apparently been cut for brevity reasons, at least that?s how the blog post, this story is about, calls it.

        Simply a date-based version number like Mandriva or Ubuntu.
        Individual applications have different version numbers anyway and the migration to KF5 will be gradual. So why not dates?

          Stop nitpicking about nomenclature; nobody cares.
          When someone says KDE5 you know what they mean. It's not our fault KDE has a confusing naming system.

              If all applications shared the same version number, you had an argument but Dolphin, Kate, Okular, Okteta, etc. all have different version numbers. Neither of these application even reached 4.x.
