Good on Alex and any other team members for the release. I asked him on his blog if this was gonna hit 4.11 or 4.12-- waiting on a reply so far, but I'm optimistic. It's a little unintuitive in some ways, and a lot better in others but I'm sure that will be refined and worked on subsequent releases.

For anyone wanting to try it without having to build it themselves... Fedora 19 KDE is shipping with it, regardless of what version of KDE SC it actually makes it into, and is included on the Beta images.

How many KDE dependencies does it have? It would be a really nice tool to use on Razor-qt.

It needs KDE runtime, so a fair amount.

Any word of when this will get pushed to the official OpenSUSE repositories?

It is already in KDE : Distro : Factory, I don't know when they plan to submit it to openSUSE:Factory.

As Black Cat wrote: It's already in the repo for 4.11.
Even though 4.11 is surprisingly stable for a beta 1 release, it's not for everybody. If you want KScreen on regular openSUSE 12.3 / KR 4.10, check http://software.opensuse.org/package/kscreen
There are a few repos that don't overwrite your existing apps with beta versions.
